Cotton Batik Saree – 2

Batik is a technique of wax-resist dyeing application to the whole cloth. The applied wax resists dyes and therefore allows the artisan to colour selectively by soaking the cloth in one colour, removing the wax with boiling water, and repeating if multiple colours are desired. Our artisan uses more colors, though the patterns are a lot less intricate. These can be used in various rituals, ceremonies, traditions, celebrations, and even in daily uses.
